Canterbury Wood Floors’ Signature™ Prefinished 5/16" thick Sapele flooring is a fine tropical hardwood originating in Africa. Sapele is stable and resilient and in its quarter sawn form is an excellent solution for use over radiant heat. Quartersawn Sapele offers a distinctive ribbon stripe pattern.
5/16" Solid flooring is suitable for below grade installation (glue down) and can be refinished, a distinct advantage over thin engineered products.
Our Sapele flooring is milled to exacting tolerances in the USA. Sapele flooring is available in clear grade, virtually free of natural defect and very consistent in color. Sapele deepens in color over time to a rich brown. It can also be stained easily if a custom color is desired.

Quartersawn Sapele is available in widths up to 8” and lengths to 12’. The standard product ships in 1’ to 7’ lengths with a 3.5’ average length.
